Glimpses of Hope by Zilungile Hanise is part of the Ilifa (Inheritance/Legacy) collection. A deeply personal body of work that honours the artist’s ancestral home. This piece reflects fragments of memory and place through abstract forms and architectural references. The patterns are drawn from the built and natural environment of her village. The colour scheme is inspired by the way houses have traditionally been painted. It a visual language seen throughout Hanise’s work and still practiced in many homes today. Glimpses of Hope is a quiet tribute to the past, grounded in heritage and filled with forward-looking energy.
