An Interlinked Whole, 2021 – Fine Art Print

Created in 2020 as an admiration for aquatic life, this piece was initially intended as a hand poke tattoo design. The artwork was made using delicate, meditative stippling done with ink on paper. These illustrative fish, some in glass cubes filled with water and others surrealistically rendered, are characters from an underwater, dream-like world. They are inquisitive and want to discover the wonders below or in shallow waters. They need to be part of the intricately interlinked and sophisticated whole – the environment – rather than live their lives by human hands.
