Main Description: Mid Century Modern Hooper. Inspired by the clean minimalistic lines of mid-century modern which fit perfectly into contemporary homes. The look embraces bold geometric shapes and repeating pattern. This pattern is printed using a hand carved block print in light grey. The block print has dark and light tones. Over this, Sadza paste is applied, Using a sharp tool thick lines are scratch into the wet paste. The fabric is left to dry in the African sun. Then the fabric is painted over with black, the paint seeps into these hand scratched lines and cracks. When the paste is washed off, the scratched area reveal the underlying fabric.
