About the Designer

Patruschka is an illustrator and surface-pattern designer from the Netherlands with a background in literature and fine art. Her work grows out of a love for narrative folk art, fairy-tale worlds, and nature. She draws inspiration from long walks and the stories hidden within landscapes, flowers, trees, birds, and animals—creating detailed collections designed to feel like magical worlds you can step into.

Alongside her design practice, Patruschka teaches Visual Art at an international teacher-training institute, where she helps future educators explore creativity, visual storytelling, and playful experimentation. She creates collections for licensing across fabric, home decor, stationery, and children’s products, always focusing on story, emotion, and craftsmanship.

Linocut Birds Collection

Linocut Birds is a collection of wallpaper and wallcoverings created in the traditional linocut printmaking style. Every bird carries a distinct personality:
