Space Fish, 2021 – Vertical

Created in 2020 as an admiration for aquatic life, this piece was initially intended as a hand poke tattoo design. The artwork was made using delicate, meditative stippling done with ink on paper. These astronaut fish are illustrative and surreal characters from an underwater world. They use their water-filled fishbowls as helmets to navigate outer space. Their experience from exploring the mysterious depths below help them explore the mystical wonders of outer space above with open hearts.
