Houndstooth originates from a type of woven wool cloth from the Scottish Lowlands surrounding the late 1800’s. It can be aptly defined as a duotone textile pattern characterised by broken checks or abstract four-pointed shapes. This geometric motif is repeated several times to create the effect a kaleidoscope would have on the human eye.

The pattern is most commonly found in black and white- but at RSW, we feel it best to follow currently trending colour ranges instead. Using complimentary sets of colours ensures an effectively high impact visually and our use of greens, blues, reds and creams sets us on par with the most popular colour swatches in this season.
